This module extends the Odoo 20 Point of Sale settings and session-loading logic to automatically set the initial category. Below is the workflow logic:

Step-By-Step Activation

Go to the Apps module in Odoo.

Go to Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings (or edit a specific shop's configurations).

Locate the Product & PoS categories block and check the "POS Start Category" toggle setting.

In the "Initial Category" selection field that appears, pick your preferred category (e.g. Beverages). Click Save.
Ready to test! Open the POS Shop Session. The product display screen will open immediately pre-filtered to show only your designated starting category.
